Tammy Merrill - Director

I am Tammy Merrill, I joined Play2Learn day care center in August, 2009. I came to work here with a positive attitude and to create a friendly and healthy atmosphere for the kids and parents.

In a very short period of time I was able to see in what areas we needed improvement. Step by step with help of the teachers and the owners, we took care of all of it.

Starting with kids files. I checked them to make sure they contain all documents that required by state law. I adjusted teacher’s scheduler so we are in compliance with state rules and never go over the ratio. I monitored each class and watched children’s day to day activities. It is very important for kids to have structured activities and learn as they play.

We are using most popular Mother goose curriculum, that is created by professionals and has a lot to offer to the kids, teachers and parents.

A lot can be said about good things that our center has to offer. State of Utah set very high expectation for our children and we want to be the best day care center in our community. Please, come and visit us at any time of the day. We assure you, you will like what you see.

Tina Peterson - Cook

Tina has been in childcare for six years. In her spare time she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. She has been married to her wonderful husband for 12 years they have 3 children and anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild. A little trivia about Ms. Tina is her favorite colors are Bright Green and Lavender Purple.

Rachel McAllister - Head Infant/Toddler Teacher

Rachel has been in the wonderful and exciting career of childcare for the past 4 years. She is obsessed with the color purple any shade of course and musical theatre. She loves to sing and will randomly break out into song while at work. When not at Play2Learn Academy she is outside either backpacking or walking and enjoying the seasons with her honey. A proud graduate of Clearfield High School, Rachel is currently in the process of receiving her CDA.

Kamie Ottley - Assistant Toddler Teacher

Kamie has been in childcare for a few months now and absolutely loves it. She hopes to be in childcare specifically working with toddlers for many years to come. She enjoys hiking and swimming in her spare time. Kamie recently became a married woman and could not be happier. Kamie graduated from Fremont High School and Staceys Cosmetology School.

Jessica Day - Assistant Infant Teacher

Jessica has been working with children for almost two years now. She loves every baby she has the privilege to work with as their teacher. Jessica is married and has a beautiful little boy, who keeps her on her toes. Family is very important to Jessica they keep her strong. When not chasing around her son she enjoys the great outdoors specifically 4-wheeling and camping. Jessica loves the color blue.

Felicia Heath - Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher

Felicia has worked with every age of children for the past 6 years. She loves the toddler and infants! She is very fun, energetic person. She loves to be around people and just have a great time. Her favorite aspect of working with children is watching them grow and learn about the world around them. Felicia loves to read, go camping and go window shopping. A little unknown fact about Ms. Felicia is she writes poems and short stories.

Jada Bradley - Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher

Jada has been with Play2Learn Academy since March of 2010, she has been in childcare for a year prior before though. Jada spends a majority of her time with the toddlers and they make her smile each and every day. When not working she is spending time reading and doing plastic canvas. She is a loving mother to twin daughters, a wonderful granddaughter and one more grand baby on the way.

Ellie Greenwell - Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher

Ellie has only been in childcare for a little under a year but feels it has been one rewarding year and is excited for more years to come. Ellie loves the color green and enjoys horseback riding, coloring and cooking. With Ellie’s energetic and outgoing personality it is very fun for her to meet new people and be around everyone. Ellie loves to watch the infants and toddlers grow and reach their mile stones.

Ashli Smith - Head 5 year old and After School Teacher

Ashli has been in childcare for what seems like 6 short years. She feels like the time has just flown by. Ashli enjoys reading, swimming and dancing, she also loves to go to the gym. She is very outgoing and tries very hard to ensure everyone smiles and is happy. Ashli is a positive person and always tries to look for the rewards in life rather than the down falls. Ms. Ashli loves the colors green and blue.

Ashley Huxhold - Head 4 year old Teacher

Ashley is going on her third year in childcare. She has been with Play2Learn Academy for one year now and thoroughly enjoys every moment. Ashley has two handsome little boys, who are 13 months apart. When not working with the four year olds Ashley loves to go camping and fishing and basically anything outdoors. A little trivia about Ms. Ashley is she rather eat fruits and veggies over any sweets.

Heidi Robinett - Head 3 year old teacher

Heidi has been working with children for eight years now. Heidi loves to read books and sing songs and paint with her 3 year olds in class. In Heidi’s spare time she loves to read books, watch movies, camp and play with her 7 year old daughter. Heidi’s dream leisure time would be to lounge on a big boat somewhere peaceful. She loves to help everyone and feels she is very warm hearted, kind and loving person.

Nolanda Smoulden - Assistant 3,4,5 Teacher

Noli has been working with children for the majority of her life. The kids just adore Ms. Noli and her zest for life and learning. She loves to sing, go horseback riding and reading a good book. Noli loves to cookfor her son, family and friends. Noli believes in living her life as drama free as possible, she feels it is important to tell everyone near and dear to her heart that she loves them. Carpe Diem!

Aubrey Perry - Assistant Two year old Teacher

Aubrey has been in the field of childcare for going on eight years now. Aubrey loves doing various activities in her spare and leisure time. Those activities include but are not limited to: Photography, Rock Climbing, playing with computers and loving the color pink. Aubrey has a very fun personality and loves to be with family and friends. Her passion besides working with children is helping animals, she volunteers at animal shelters.

Stacey Sanderson - Two year old Teacher

Stacey has been working in the field of childcare for a little over six years. Stacey’s favorite part of childcare is seeing all the warm smiling faces of the children as they come into the daycare. Stacey loves to go camping and scrapbook anything and everything. When not working with the two year olds, Stacy loves to be at home with her husband and two gorgeous daughters. Stacey is very outgoing and is a very happy person, you can always see her with a smile on her face.

Sarah Smith - Assistant Teacher

Sarah made her debut in the exciting field of childcare this summer. Sarah is a very athletic and will play any sport any chance she gets. Sarah loves the color blue and being with her family and friends. Sarah currently attends Davis High School and loves it! Sarah is fun to be around and her most favorite thing in the world is to make others smile.

Jennifer Jones - Two year old Teacher

Jennifer has been in childcare since January of 2007. Jennifer absolutely loves working and teaching the two year olds. Jennifer has been married to her husband for 6 years and they have two beautiful daughters and one more child on the way. They just recently moved into a house and could not be happier. Jennifer loves to read and do cross word puzzles in her spare time. Ms. Jennifer loves the color green and being with her girls.
